Jennifer Mummert

Psychologist, Psychological Counsellor

Jennifer is an experienced Perth-based psychologist, registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.  She gained her qualifications and experience as a psychologist in Australia and England, in a variety of government and non-government settings, before opening her private practice in Perth in 2003.

Jennifer’s approach to counselling and psychotherapy recognises that the relationship between you and your counsellor is the most important therapeutic contributor to your personal growth and development.  The therapeutic relationship is the basis from which you gain self awareness and develop greater self confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of self.  In addition, Jennifer uses a variety of evidence-based psychological approaches, tailored to suit the client and the circumstances.  The approaches used may include psychodynamic, client centred and cognitive behaviour therapies.
Jennifer participates regularly in professional development programmes, in order to incorporate the most current and scientifically validated psychological approaches to helping her clients.
